Goldschmied imparts wisdom from fabric to finished product
Designer Adriano Goldschmied has continued his work with pumice alternative HMS (Hand Made Stone), with the second edition of the ‘Denim – After the Loom’ event, this time held at Munich Fabric Start, home of denim-focused Bluezone.
He was joined on stage by Sofia Strazzanti and HMS’s Thomas Leary to discuss the evolving landscape of finishing processes
Mr Goldschmied said: “With HMS and eco-chemical pioneers leading the way, the future of denim feels both responsible and exciting.”
In terms of his fabric work, the second collection of ‘Daily Blue by Adriano Goldschmied’ and Artistic Milliners’ subsidiary ArtMill - Deux: Know the Unknown - will be presented at Première Vision Paris (September 16-18), following an initial launch at Kingpins in April. The colour story is desert and earth tones, and fibres include a new variant of Lenzing’s Tencel Lyocell.
Mr Goldschmied has also continued his work with Fabrique, a retailer that works with 350 designers from around the world, as part of a partnership that began in 2022. The online collection includes denim dresses, tops and skirts, as well as wide-leg and baggy styles in drapey, soft fabrics.
