Digitally printed denim offers ‘new language’ for Goldschmied

Artistic Milliners-owned US hub Artmill, in collaboration with denim visionary Adriano Goldschmied, have presented their latest collaboration, Digital Blue Wave, using digital print technologies to print on the front and back of the fabric.

“Our goal is to find a new language for denim,” says Adriano Goldschmied. “Through this collaboration, we’re discovering creative pathways that were never before attainable — bringing art directly into the fabric of our everyday lives.”

By replacing traditional dyeing and finishing methods, digital printing dramatically reduces the consumption of water, energy and chemicals. It also offers flexibility, allowing brands to stay closer to the market and consumers, said the partners.

The collection spans classic men’s patterns, feminine florals and Japanese-inspired motifs. It explores innovative printed jacquards, the "Indigo Birth" capsule, inspired by traditional kimono constructions, as well as denim patchworks and designs that merge craftsmanship with modern vision.

The collection will premiere at Kingpins Amsterdam, October 15–16.
