AM, SFI and Artmill unite ahead of Kingpins
Los Angeles-based design studio and denim laundry Star Fades International (SFI), owned by Pakistani mill Artistic Milliners (AM), recently revealed its collaboration with international denim trade event Kingpins Show, in partnership with AM’s new Artmill facility for premium wovens. 

SFI, AM and Artmill have united to create head-to-toe, unisex uniforms for staff working the upcoming Amsterdam edition of Kingpins in April, inspired by “authentic denim details” and made from 100% recycled cotton, then dyed with AM’s PureColor technology (a natural dyestuff produced using organic pigments, including those derived from rocks and minerals). PureColor also reduces water and energy usage, SFI said.

The t-shirts in the collection, also dyed with PureColor in Los Angeles, have been printed using Nature Coatings' BioBlack TX, which derives a black pigment extracted from wood waste obtained from sustainably managed forests.
