Siddiqsons expands Cryo eco-dye
Pakistan-based denim mill Siddiqsons is exhibiting at Kingpins in New York City today and introducing an evolution of Cryo, a sustainable sulphur dyeing and fabric overdyeing process which is said to significantly reduce energy, water and chemical use compared to conventional denim dyeing.

The main advantage of this method, presented as a game-changing technology, is to shift from conventional high-temperature dyeing (around 85°C) to near room-temperature (approximately 40°C), without compromising colour depth, fabric quality or performance, Asim Nizami, creative head, told Inside Denim. The lower temperature reduces the overall impact of dyeing and also eliminates pre- and post-wash stages in rope dyeing, further reducing resource consumption and effluent load.

Cryo is also said to deliver strong colour performance without compromising authentic denim aesthetics. The company said that the process is now being extended beyond rope dyeing into fabric overdyeing, a demonstration of its versatility and scalability across multiple denim applications.

“Cryo represents our commitment to delivering denim solutions that balance performance, aesthetics and responsible production. It gives our partners confidence that sustainability can be commercially viable, visually strong, and technically sound,” commented Siddiqsons’ sales and marketing manager Abbas Jan.

Siddiqsons will also be exhibiting the innovative process at Colombiatex next week (Jan 27 to 29, in Medellìn).
