Nudie celebrates achievements in 2024 report

Sweden’s Nudie Jeans has published its sustainability report for 2024, in which it reported a 27% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions compared with 2018.
During the year, it repaired 68,342 Nudie Jeans, and 96% of fibres were defined as ‘preferred’ according to the Nudie Jeans Material Tool.
Other highlights during the year include adding new partners its jeans refurbishment network, and funding a research project from the Swedish Energy Agency, focused on scaling its circular business model.
Nudie Jeans became GOTS certified during the year, with the first certified products released this spring.
The management team said: “The year 2024 has been a successful one for Nudie Jeans. We reached a milestone, proving that our strategy and business model remain strong despite the ongoing challenges facing our industry, from the lasting effects of the pandemic to the wars in Europe and the Middle East, as well as inflation and recession.
“By renewing the strategy and maintaining the core values, the company has managed to grow and sees no reason to change course. Instead, the ambition is to increase volume, pace, and ambitions aligning with what is already being done.
“During the year, we have broadened the concept of sustainability and integrated it into all parts of the business. This includes more employees working daily with sustainability as sustainability related work tasks are integrated into various departments, such as supply chain and product development. This aligns with our focus on sustainability actions in our own value chain moving forward.”
Nudie Jeans is sold in more than 50 markets. Sales for 2024 amounted to SEK 511 million (£39 million), 6% higher than in 2023.
