Pakistan: denim producer inaugurates wastewater treatment plant

Karachi-based denim manufacturer SM Denim has formally inaugurated a new wastewater treatment plant.
Reducing water use and increasing water recycling are two of the pillars of SM Denim’s sustainability strategy.

Process optimisation allowed it to save more than 100 million litres of water in 2019 compared to the previous year.

It said the new wastewater treatment plant was an important new milestone towards what it called a greener and better future.
