Software development will help digitise denim industry

Denim finishing technology provider Jeanologia has teamed up with 3D garment simulation solutions company CLO Virtual Fashion to boost digital design.
CLO is preparing to launch a new version of its software and the updated version will allow users to import and export Jeanologia’s proprietary .jean files.
Brands and designers will be able to use this to visualise and render denim finishes. This will help them make design decisions and generate digital products. It will enable higher levels of collaboration between brands and their supply chain partners, Jeanologia said.
Its software development director, Josep Maria Carbonell, said: “Today more than ever we need to implement digitisation in our industry. Design, digital collection and 3D virtual reality are going to be key to recovery. It will be a complete transformation in the jeans industry.”
