Denim visionary dies

The co-founder of specialist textile finishing technology provider Jeanologia, José Vidal Royo, has died.  He was 85 years old.
Mr Vidal Royo worked for many years at his family’s company, Tejidos Royo, and is credited with the Valencia-based denim fabric manufacturer’s international expansion.
He set up Jeanologia with his nephew, Enrique Silla Vidal in 1994.
Jeanologia has described him as a visionary in sustainability and an excellent mentor for the new generations that followed him into the denim business and are acting now as drivers for change in their search for environmentally responsible solutions.
“He passed on his passion, his commitment to the planet and a new business culture,” the company said.
