Aaron Denim Show underway in Dhaka

The Aaron Denim Show, which will run until November 27, is currently underway in Dhaka’s Savar, local media have reported.

Locally produced tie dye, ice dye, eco hypo and stone wash denim are all on display during the seven-day exhibition.

CEO of Aaron Denim, Sayed Ibn Mazakat, said that the idea for a multichannel denim “spectacle” (intended to reach international buyers via daily event summary videos posted to Facebook) was inspired by the covid-19 lockdown in Bangladesh.

Having wanted to further globalise the company’s reach ever since joining as CEO in 2017, Mr Ibn Mazakat viewed the pandemic’s international travel restrictions as his chance to push forward and innovate with the show.

Speaking to local media about Aaron Denim’s current performance, managing director Mazakat Harun said that the enterprise currently exports around 27 million metres of denim fabric every year. At present, Aaron Denim has more orders than its capacity, he continued, with “enough work orders for the next three months”.
