International cotton market consolidates return to pre-pandemic price levels
Cotton industry information resource Cotlook has reported that the international cotton market has “consolidated its return to pre-pandemic price levels”.
It said there was strong upward movement of international cotton prices in October and that, although this lost some momentum in the course of November, the levels are in keeping with those the industry saw before the covid-19 pandemic.
Cotlook said this was an outcome that few industry observers would have predicted after the market reached a low point at the beginning of April.
