Leadership team changes at the ICA
The International Cotton Association (ICA) voted in a new leadership team following its annual general meeting, which took place earlier this month during in Liverpool.
Managing director of Formosa Trading, Alex Hsu, takes on the role of ICA president. His first vice-president is Tim North, global head of merchandising at ECOM USA, while Kim Hanna, president TransGlobal Inspections was elected as second vice-president.
On accepting the role of president, Alex Hsu said: “These are challenging times for all of us in the cotton community and my hope is to be able to guide the association back towards normalcy.”
Taipei-based Formosa Trading is Mr Hsu’s family business; it has been a cotton selling agent for 50 years and has operations in China and Indonesia. He joined it in 1993.
