Wiser Globe expands its smart system
A full-scale ozone drum or WOX, for Wiser Ozone X-perience, was on display on Wiser Globe’s booth at PV denim in Berlin last week. It won a Chicago Atheneum Good Design award in 2021.
This new ozone drum, which comes with an ozone generator, adds a new stage to the ‘network’ of smart connected machines developed by Wiser Globe, a company based in Amsterdam that includes Wiser Wash, a patented ozone bleaching process, and Wiser Tech, a technology division.
The smart machine collects data which feeds the algorithms, the company said, to continually optimise processes.
The new device is said to lead to better bleaching results, 40% lower cycle duration and 66% higher production capacity, the company claims.
“Through this innovation, we want to create an entirely new paradigm in the denim production industry and go beyond Industry 4.0 with 360-degree solutions that will completely change the denim finishing practices. WOX is the first step in that direction,” said Wiser Globe founder Fuat Gözaçan.
The company’s fully connected industry 4.0 laundry facility in Turkey is currently being expanded from a capacity of 100,000 to 300,000 pieces a month. The upgraded plant will be finished by October or November of this year, Wiser Globe marketing & corporate communications manager Ayça Sap told Inside Denim.
