Säntis Textiles partners with FibreTrace

Recycled cotton specialist Säntis Textiles has opted to integrate FibreTrace technology to guarantee the origin of the fibres it uses. This will enable the Swiss-owned company based in Singapore to prove that its fibres, yarns and fabrics are truly made from 100% recycled cotton.

FibreTrace, an organisation based in Australia that has developed an invisible chemical tracer, will be creating a unique ID specifically for Säntis’ RCO100 fibres, yarns and fabrics. These are made from a combination of pre-consumer industrial waste and post-consumer used garments.

The partnership between the two companies marks a “step toward full transparency”, commented FibreTrace COO Crispin Argento.

Annabelle Hutter, Säntis Textiles’ creative director, added that this partnership will contribute to “an increased appetite from brands around the globe wanting to adopt more circular approaches”.
