Australian brand is first to use benchmarking tool

Australian brand Nobody Denim is to extend its use of traceability solutions from FibreTrace in a new collection.

The capsule collection will introduce seven new FibreTrace pieces and will be the first to feature the Fibre Impact Module, a benchmarking tool that collects impact data from farms on carbon emissions, water use, energy consumption and other aspects of environmental performance.

Nobody Denim’s new collection will use Good Earth Cotton, a certified carbon-positive Australian cotton.

Co-founder of the brand, John Condilis, said Nobody Denim had received a positive response to a first FibreTrace collection that it launched towards the end of 2020. He added: “The opportunity to further educate shoppers on the importance of transparency in fashion was something we jumped on straight away.”

He said that using the Fibre Impact Module tool was an invitation to consumers to be “a part of the positive change we are striving for”, allowing for real data to show people the environmental impact of what they are buying.
