Kingpins prepares its NYC edition
After a nearly three-year hiatus, the denim show will be opening its doors next week, July 20 and 21, at Pier 36, Basketball City, on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

The exhibitor list includes some 70 exhibitors, for more information and to register see here.

A series of seminars is scheduled, with Denim Dudes presenting AW 22/23 trends on both days.

On July 20, a panel talk will look at the career paths taken in denim by alumni from the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Denim Capstone project, an educational programme sponsored by Olah Inc, Cotton Inc, Supima, Cone Denim, The Lycra Company, and Tencel Denim. The following day, a panel talk will bring together denim changemakers, with Calik, The Lycra Company and Artistic Milliners. Emily Olah will be investigating traceability on day two.

Two of the seminars will cover innovation in fibres: a talk on day one will look into the degradability of synthetic polymers with CiCLO founder Andrea Ferris, and an overview of new natural fibres with representatives from Orta, Boyish, Triarchy, and Rowan Hunt is scheduled for day two.

Many other activities are in the works, as well as a get together on July 20th from 5 to 7 pm.
