No major disruption after fire at Spanish factory, Indorama says
Fibre producer Indorama has said fire broke out at its plant at San Roque, near Cádiz in southern Spain, in early January. It said the first was contained quickly and that there were no injuries or adverse effects on the environment or local community.
However, it confirmed that there will be “minor disruptions to operations” while it assesses the damage and plans repairs.
It said it expected full production of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and purified terephthalic acid (PTA) at the site to be in place again before the end of January.
