New product can mellow the yellow, Soko says
Textile chemicals group Soko followed up on its launch last year of denim finishing product Stardust with a new launch at Kingpins in Amsterdam in April.
At the most recent Amsterdam event, Soko presented Supercast, describing it as a product that “solves one of the most common problems in production”.
The problem Soko referred to is the yellowing and grey cast issue after oxidising processes such as hypochlorite or potassium permanganate bleach and ozone processes.
At Kingpins, it said Supercast can turn denim fabric back to the original cast. It does this by completing the neutralisation of the oxidising agents and removing residues, which eliminates yellowing.
