Three jeans-making businesses under the Pacific Jeans Group umbrella were notably among the 71 recipients of Bangladesh’s National Export Trophy at a prize-giving ceremony in Dhaka this month.

Each was recognised for the value of its exports between July 1, 2019, until June 30 of 2020.

Chittagong-based companies Pacific Jeans and NHT Fashions won gold and silver awards, respectively, while Universal Jeans took home the main prize, the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Export Trophy, having achieved the highest export earnings across all 28 categories for the year.

Commerce minister, Tipu Munshi, handed out the trophies.
