Pacific Jeans takes centre stage at Denim Innovation Night
Bangladeshi jeans manufacturer Pacific Jeans hosted the second Denim Innovation Night on May 16 as part of 14th Bangladesh Denim Expo, held in Dhaka.
Five-hundred guests attended the talks and catwalk presentation, showing Pacific Jeans’ capabilities in fabrics, manufacturing and finishing.
The programme was inaugurated by commerce minister Tipu Munshi, while the head of the delegation of the European Union in Bangladesh, Charles Whiteley, was the guest of honour. President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association Faruque Hassan and representative of the Japan External Trade Organisation in Bangladesh Yuji Ando were special guests.
Exhibitors at the Denim Expo included technology provider Tonello, which showcased its new DyeMate technology, and chemicals company Officina39, which presented Recycrom Ready To Dye -15 in-stock colours obtained from a minimum of 65% recycled pre- and post-consumer textile materials.
At the conclusion, organisers praised the “energy, creativity and passion that permeates the industry”. The next edition of Bangladesh Denim Expo will be held on November 8 and 9.
