European retailer C&A has re-entered the Chinese capital by setting up shop inside Beijing's Huiduogang mall.

C&A had previously left the city, but still maintained a presence in Chengdu, Chongqing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Xi’an, Wuhan, Dalian and others after initially establishing itself in the market in 2007.

The retail company’s Chinese arm was acquired by private equity firm Zhongke Tongrong in August of 2020.

According to its website, C&A counts around 1,300 stores globally at present.

When the new Beijing location will open its doors has yet to be announced.
