Transformers ED prepares for live São Paulo event
Denim industry platform Transformers Foundation’s education arm, Transformers ED, will deliver its inaugural in-person Brazilian event at the SENAI training centre in São Paulo on August 14.
Although past editions have taken place online, the upcoming version is notable for reasons other than being the first-ever live Transformers ED Brazil.
Namely, an expanded curriculum, which will be presented over four hours, has been designed to take students and enthusiasts on a wide-ranging journey, from cotton, new fibres, microplastics and certifications through to 3D design tools, “new possibilities for processing denim”, trends and more. There will also be a fireside chat with two unnamed local denim brands, as well as an innovation-focused tour of event sponsor Covolan Denim’s facilities.
Organisers said the aim is to equip attendees with knowledge beyond fibres, machinery and finishing, introducing them to challenges and opportunities tied to social impact, sustainability and creative design. Transformers has previously targeted its ED seminars at denim fans and students in countries such as France, the UK, Pakistan, Mexico and more.
Other sponsors of August’s session include fibre producer The Lycra Company and SENAI itself.
Those interested are encouraged to register their attendance in advance here.
