A delegation from state-owned textile trading body Chinatex travelled to Brazil in mid-August.

The Chinatex representatives’ agenda included formal meetings with Brazil’s minister of agriculture, Carlos Fávaro, and cotton industry bodies Abrapa and Anea.

Their programme also included visits to cotton farms in the states of Mato Grosso and Bahia.

China is the biggest export market for Brazilian cotton.
