Carbios appoints SVP of sustainability, corporate affairs
French biorecycler Carbios has named Bénédicte Garbil senior vice-president of corporate affairs and sustainability.
Ms Garbil, most recently a biotechnology and healthcare consultant, has a postgraduate degree in health law and also holds a bachelor’s in pharmacoeconomics.
In her new role, she will oversee life-cycle assessment, corporate social responsibility and QHSE (quality, health, safety and environment).
“The fight against plastic pollution in a societal issue and the emergence of new technologies requires the involvement of both private and public ecosystems,” she commented.
“The solutions and technologies developed by Carbios and crucial for the sustainability of the planet, but how we implement them must also be sustainable.
“I am proud to join this flagship of French innovation and its dedicated teams.”
The appointee also joins the group’s executive committee.
