Denimsandjeans hopes to blossom in Tokyo in March
Fair organiser Denimsandjeans will return to Japan for the second time between March 26 and 27, bringing with it fresh concepts like a denim marketplace, dedicated “selvedge corner” and a keynote by industry luminary Adriano Goldschmied.
Suppliers including Kurabo, Artistic Milliners, Pioneer Denim, Shinohara Textile, Ideablue, Lucky Textile, Yilmak, Iskur Denim, Sanyo Senko and San Shing Cotton Weaving have all already confirmed their plans to exhibit. Mr Goldschmied is likewise expected to showcase a “special collection” of his own designs.
The trade show has been scheduled to coincide with Tokyo’s cherry blossom season.
Its new, shopper-facing marketplace, targeted at denim fans and “connoisseurs” alike, will also include a curation of hand-woven boro textiles, denims and indigo fabrics, organisers said.
