Hidehiko Yamane turns painter for London visit

A private viewing of Evisu jeanswear brand founder Hidehiko Yamane’s new Yamane & Co line in London’s Soho was well-attended by fans from Dublin rapper Rejjie Snow to “number one customer” Calvin Seigle, who travelled from Paris especially.
Hosted by Asia-based entrepreneur Peter Caplowe, Mr Yamane employed his artistry to paint faces, symbols and more on denim and t-shirts in his typical style, using Japanese katakana syllabary to similarly render names and phrases.
Hand-painted katakana names proved especially popular among guests, as the creative relayed to his Instagram followers after the event.
