Robert van de Kerkhof joins HeiQ board

Austrian Fibers Institute president and former Lenzing chief sustainability officer, Robert van de Kerkhof, has joined Swiss textile innovator HeiQ’s board of directors.
Mr van de Kerkhof, himself Switzerland-based, left Lenzing in January to focus on delivering sustainability, circularity and decarbonisation advisory services with Pepper-i2, a company he formally founded in August.
The senior executive previously spent nearly nine years as Lenzing's chief commercial officer and also served as president of the European Man-Made Fibres Association or CIFRS between May 2020 and May 2023. Earlier roles include a decade as fibre manufacturer Invista’s global vice-president, plus 13 years as global business director at chemicals producer DuPont.
“We are very happy to have you driving our HeiQ AeoniQ disruptive technology to get our textiles off oil,” HeiQ co-founder and chief executive, Carlo Centonze, commented on welcoming Mr van de Kerkhof to the board.
