New strategic responsibility for Michael Karapetian at Kontoor
Kontoor Brands, the parent group behind denim businesses Lee and Wrangler, has broadened vice-president of corporate development Michael Karapetian’s remit to include strategy and investor relations.
Bucknell University alum Mr Karapetian worked at Balyasny Asset Management, Citadel, Janney Capital Markets and Merrill Lynch before joining the company as its director of corporate finance in 2020.
“We are pleased to announce the expansion of Mike’s role at Kontoor,” commented Kontoor’s executive vice-president and chief financial officer, Joe Alkire.
“He has made significant contributions since joining and we are confident he will continue to be a valuable partner and leader in the organisation and help drive the next chapter of Kontoor’s value creation journey.”
The group expects to release its fourth-quarter financial results on February 28.
