Transformers webinar has EU legislation theme
Berlin-based lobby and advocacy officer at ethical non-profit Fair Wear, Ingrid Elbertse, will deliver a webinar hosted by denim innovation platform Transformers Foundation called ‘Understanding the impacts of upcoming legislation for apparel and textile manufacturers’ on April 2, at 10 am CEST.
The session is inspired by last year’s report, ‘An apparel supplier’s guide: key sustainability legislation in the EU, US and UK’, co-commissioned by Transformers. Others included Asian suppliers and distributors Epic, Norlanka, Shahi Exports and Simple Approach, plus German development agency Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit or GIZ, as well as GIZ Fabric Asia.
Targeted at suppliers, the presentation will involve “a deep dive into interpreting legal texts with real-world case studies”, with an eye to relevant EU legislation, while remaining conversational in tone, Transformers said.
There will also be opportunity for attendees' “most pressing legal questions”.
