Transformers event seeks to ‘find a path forward’

14/04/2025

Transformers Foundation will host a new event, Strata, in Amsterdam, bringing together experts from across the supply chain to discuss the latest developments in sustainable denim.

Strata reflects the “layers of expertise, experience and innovation” the denim industry is built on, reflected in a morning of "conversation, collaboration, workshops and inspiration".

Speakers will include Alberto De Conti from Rudolf Hub 1922, Giorgio Morandin from SIP-ITALY, Maximilian Daebel from Otto Stadtlander, Mandy Hobusch and Irene Shih from NordicBlue, and Jennifer Thompson from Colourizd.

Andrew Olah, founder of Kingpins and Kingpins Transformers, which became the independent Transformers Foundation in 2020, said: “Manufacturers are under enormous pressure to be financially competitive while at the same time setting and striving to meet sustainability goals. This work is hard and it gets increasingly difficult without the participation of everyone in the chain, including consumers. But Transformers believes it is the right thing to do and has created Strata to bring together all parts of the denim industry to share current developments and find a path forward.”

It takes place on April 15 from 9:30am to 1:30pm at De Hallen, Studio 3 in Amsterdam.

Kingpins Amsterdam takes place on April 16 and 17.
