Chinese textile group places huge order with Rieter
Shanghai-based textile group Digital Intelligence World Industrial Technology (DIW) gas placed a substantial order with machinery developer Rieter.
It has agreed a purchase contract for more than 700 of the Swiss company’s Autoconer X6 winding machines.
Rieter said this represented its largest ever order in China and the strengthening of an existing partnership, which began in March.
For its part, DIW said its aim was to develop state-of-the-art spinning operations at the textile manufacturing facilities it runs at four different industrial parks and achieve “unprecedented levels of quality, productivity and efficiency”.
Managing director of Rieter China, Michael Hubensteiner, said the technology would help DIW meet “steadily growing demand and requirements for higher operational efficiency”.
