Emerging designers in the spotlight at IFCO
The Istanbul Fashion Connection (IFCO) event kicked off in the Turkish city on August 7, running until August 9.
This exhibition includes a special section called The Core dedicated to the work of emerging Turkish designers and brands.
On this occasion, The Core has 20 participants, aiming to present their latest collections to consumers and to fashion buyers. The group includes Tuba Ergin, who has been active in denim design for a number of years.
Before she created her own-name denim brand in 2013, Ms Ergin had already made an impression with an earlier venture that she called Garden of Denim Design, which she took to events including Copenhagen Fashion Week and Who’s Next.
She has also worked with Desa, creating a capsule collection for the Istanbul-based fashion brand.
In total, almost 300 exhibitors at IFCO had denim in the clothing collections they presented.
