Workwear game strong at Lee
Denim brand Lee has joined Alpha Industries for a collection celebrating the brands’ shared history of workwear.
In 1959, Alpha Industries was commissioned by the US Department of Defence to design and manufacture outerwear for the US military, and it has been producing military-inspired clothing since.
This men’s collection includes Alpha’s MA-1 Bomber Jacket in denim, the Lee Rider denim jacket, and a take on the flight suit inspired by Lee founder HD Lee’s original design.
The Alpha x Lee Reversible MA-1 Bomber Jacket features a solid dark indigo denim while the reverse is an indigo stripe – denim mills have told Inside Denim striped denim and workwear will be more prominent in coming seasons.
Joe Broyles, global vice-president of collaborations at Lee, said: “The craftsmanship and details in each piece show why workwear and military styles continue to command attention in the world of fashion.”
The capsule is available in the US as well as in select Asian markets.
