Hugo Boss creates deadstock solution entity
German apparel group Hugo Boss has announced the creation of an independent company dedicated to reusing and recycling its surplus materials. Eightyards will begin opertions in January 2025 and is headed by Markéta Miltenberger and Placido Klitzke. Ms Miltenberger, was formerly in charge of product excellence for outerwear and Mr Kltzke, global brand team leader for Hugo.

The group expects the company to set up processes and supply chains to find uses for its deadstock in various industries beyond fashion.
