Cotton imports down in China

08/01/2025

Fibre information resource CCF Group has said China imported a little under 1.25 million tonnes of cotton yarn in the first 11 months of last year, down by 2.5% compared to the same months in 2023.

It said that in the final part of 2024, the cost of importing cotton yarn into China increased continually because of currency exchange rates. Therefore, it said it expected the full-year figure for 2024 to remain below 2023’s.
