An insightful Sustainable Apparel Forum
The sixth edition of the Sustainable Apparel Forum, held in Dhaka yesterday, brought together an array of policymakers, industry leaders and entrepreneurs, for a total of some 550 attendees, to foster dialogue and innovation in developing a more sustainable industry.

Organised by Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE) in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, it featured four panel talks, five presentations and two break-out sessions.

“EU consumers have benefitted from good value and high-quality products imported from Bangladesh. Partnerships between the EU and Bangladesh must evolve as we move forward. We look to Bangladesh to increase its ambition when it comes to renewables. The EU is determined to work with Bangladesh to ensure it is equipped with the capacity to provide opportunities for sustainable developments,” said Michael Miller, ambassador and head of the European Union delegation to Bangladesh, at the event.

“We are creating collaboration and connection, increasing opportunity and investment, and further integrating the business to drive impactful initiatives towards a sustainable future,” declared Mostafiz Uddin, founder and CEO of the Bangladesh Apparel Exchange.
