Durak goes against the grain and reshores manufacturing
Thread maker Durak Tekstil is going against the grain and moving its Chinese production to its home market Turkey, which will enable it to save costs and expand its factory there.
The company has had a facility in China since 2007, but said it has convinced its 500 Asian clients to accept the change of manufacturing location.
With the support of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, it has shipped its machinery from China and invested $20 million in an expanded factility.
In addition to its existing factory in Bursa, Durak Tekstil will invest in a new factory on its land in the Tosab industrial zone.
