The company's programme to promote regenerative cotton farming was launched just a year ago, with REEDS Pakistan, and is working with some 1,000 farmers in southern Punjab covering an area of 6,000 acres, the company said.
This season 1,600 tonnes of cotton lint were produced with full traceability using Interloop’s Looptrace technology.
“Regenerative farming isn’t new to Pakistan, it’s how we’ve farmed for generations. We’re simply scaling that wisdom to give farmers the tools and market access they need while restoring the soil health that decades of chemical farming have compromised,” commented Navid Fazil, CEO of Interloop.
