Cloud-based procurement to drive transformation at Interloop
Vertically integrated textile manufacturer Interloop Limited has embarked on a “transformation initiative” that it has called Project North Star.
It said it was restructuring its business units to serve “the evolving needs” of its customers.
One of the principal changes to its way of operating has been to put in place a new, centralised model for procurement management. It said this would drive digitalisation, transparency, efficiency and cost savings.
Central to this is Interloop’s adoption of SAP Ariba Source-to-Contract Suite, a cloud-based solution designed to manage sourcing and contracting. It said the technology would allow it to manage sourcing events more effectively, access a global pool of suppliers and streamline procurement processes for greater control and accountability.
“Our goal was clear: to build a procurement function that reflects world-class standards while supporting our sustainability and digital ambitions,” said the chief executive of Interloop, Navid Fazil.
