Expansion on the cards at Advance

China-headquartered denim mill Advance is preparing to expand its production in Vietnam, in addition to the facility that it launched there in 2020, with the opening scheduled for approximately two years.

As part of its spring-summer 27 collection, the mill presented its fabric blends with the new Lenzing HV100 – which creates less shiny fabrics, with more of a cotton hand, but retaining the softness of the Tencel.

It also created Reflex, using Lycra’s new VintageFX. This combination creates comfort stretch that solves the problem of fabrics bagging out, Advance told us.

Among other new fabrics on show at Kingpins Amsterdam included a bi-stretch 100% cotton fabric with a super-soft hand, enabled by way the yarn is spun and the fabric is woven, creating a more “democratic fit”.
