Senior Naveena Group executive among victims of shopping mall fire

Karachi-based denim manufacturer Naveena Group has confirmed that its chief finance officer, Omer Nabeel, has died from injuries he sustained in a fatal fire in a shopping mall.

Fire broke out at the Gul Shopping Plaza on January 17 and claimed more than 70 lives in all. Naveena has confirmed that Omer Nabeel was among the victims, as were his wife and son.

The group paid tribute to Mr Nabeel’s professionalism, integrity and leadership.
