Jeansland's 'Water: Above and Below, part 2' available now

Part two of the Jeansland special podcast ‘Water: Above and Below’, sponsored by Inside Denim, is available now.

Andrew Olah is joined by Rick Kellison and Brent Crossland and this time they discuss the farmer-led research behind the Texas Alliance for Water Conservation, why keeping that work funded matters, and what real sustainability requires from brands and retailers.

They widen the lens to other major water users, including AI and energy, and ask the uncomfortable but necessary question: who is willing to invest in the knowledge and systems agriculture will depend on in the decades ahead?

The first episode covers topics including soil health, irrigation technology, and how integrating cotton, cattle and crop rotation can reduce water use while improving long-term farm viability. It also looks into the disconnect between how brands talk about water, and how rarely they ask where their cotton’s water actually comes from.

Together, these episodes follow water from below the surface to the real-world choices shaping cotton’s future.

Listen to both to understand what’s changing, and why it matters.
