Covid-19 lull prompts a new line from Cadica

Cadica, which specialises in unconventional hangtags and labels, has released a new collection said to be without boundaries and representing the “crossover between retro inspirations and 80s design, color block inspired by the 30s”.

The capsule collections cover a range of categories — denim, lingerie, kids, beachwear, high quality standard (HQS), leather, urban, luxury and ethical choice — each of which can be viewed via the company’s app.

Called the New Normal collection, the line reflects some long-considered shifts made by the company.

“For quite some time we have felt the desire of changing the season, gender and belonging models. Covid-19 gave us the time to realise that we wanted it now," said Carlo Parisatto, chief marketing and sales officer of Cadica Group "Material research was the core motive we worked on to create a collection without any type of boundary, thanks to the use of different channels. Creativity and sustainability are the only two facts that will give value to our future."

The denim collection uses soft bases of recycled cotton fabric, with “gothic-grunge hints” and “reflective prints to create a totally reinterpreted effect”. The ideas, the company said, focus on market dynamics while incorporating concepts of recycle and reuse. Cadica said it uses dark and neutral colours, “eye-catching simple techniques, and “authentic materials” for a genuine, rather than affected, “coolness”.
