Kontoor adds expert to navigate ‘complex environment’
 
                        Kontoor Brands, the owner of Wrangler and Lee, has hired Mame Annan-Brown (pictured) from the financial sector as executive vice-president of global communications and public affairs.
She joins from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, where she has served as head of external relations since 2018. She has also worked for IFC Asset Management Company Results for Development Institute, United to End Genocide and JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Ms Annan-Brown will have responsibility for all aspects of global corporate communications, developing, leading and executing a communications strategy. She also will have responsibility for leading government affairs strategies to achieve positive outcomes, developing Kontoor’s position on legislative and regulatory issues. Additionally, she will serve as a representative and advocate for Kontoor’s interest among government agencies and other associations.
Kontoor’s CEO Scott Baxter said: “The environment in which we operate has become increasingly complex.
