Long lead times, costly transport and rising wages, combined with a desire to create more nimble manufacturing, have led to several companies opening smaller denim or jeans-making factories closer to their consumers.

Factor in the evolution of technology, the development of automated sewing machines and finishing devices, and the stage is set for Industry 4.0 and a new mindset.
