Old Navy introduces fit guide

This new feature on the Gap-owned retailer’s e-shop takes four key features and runs through the different options it offers. For instance, the Rise Guide will show where Low Rise, Mid Rise, High Rise, Extra High Rise and Higher High Rise fall on the waist across sizes 4, 12 and 18. Similarly, the Stretch Guide describes in detail the difference between non-stretch/rigid, low stretch, medium stretch and high stretch. A sustainability information section is also included with details on the retailer’s eco and water-saving measures. A fourth section covers features and trend-related details.
The online tool is also available in-store where matching visuals and descriptions guide customers in finding the right fit and the option of scanning a QR code to lead them to the online fit guide. As part of this programme, Old Navy store employees have followed a special jeans training session to help them better assist customers in finding the right style and fit.
This fall season is said to mark the retailer’s largest women’s denim offering with 20+ styles, 15 different leg shapes, five rises, four stretch levels and over 150 washes in sizes 00-30.
