Denim suppliers set up shop at Destination Africa

Cairo-based textile trade show Destination Africa is set to take place at the city’s Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski hotel over November 19-20.

The event, launched in 2016 and now in its sixth edition, immediately follows the conclusion of United Nations-led climate change conference COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh on November 18.

Billed as especially geared towards US and European buyers' sourcing needs, the fair boasts an exhibitor list of 100-plus suppliers hailing from across the continent, including those headquartered in Nigeria, South Africa, Tunisia, Ethiopia, Algeria and Morocco, in addition to Egyptian producers from closer to home. Among this year’s denim delegation are manufacturers Sharabati Denim, Lotus Garments, Spilla Jeans, Emessa Denim and Vertical Jeans.
