Candiani-Directa Plus tie-up equals Graphito

A collaboration between two Italian companies, denim mill Candiani and graphene product developer Directa Plus, has resulted in Graphito, a new fibre technology based on a combination of the former’s fungi-based Kinotex polymer and the latter’s G+ Graphene fabric enhancer.
Alongside its bio-stretch, plastic-free Coreva yarn, the natural rubber core of which is wrapped in organic cotton, Candiani-developed Graphito offers partners “a remarkable and unrivalled eco-denim textile”, the partners said.
Due to the presence of G+ in the blend, the fabric has antiviral, antibacterial and thermoregulatory properties, they added, meaning jeans made with the denim can remain fresh for up to 10 wears, all year round.
