Interloop goes against the grain with record profit

Pakistan-based textiles and clothing maker Interloop Limited has announced record profits for its financial year 2023 of 20.2 billion rupees ($67 million), an increase of 63% year on year.

Reports from Pakistan attribute the increase to higher export volumes and the depreciation of the rupee against the US dollar.

The group’s sales increased by 31% to Rs 119.20 billion.

Interloop specialises in hosiery, denim, knitted apparel and activewear.
