Acne Studios debuts new trompe l’oeil effects

Stockholm label Acne Studios has added trompe l'oeil (ie, “deceive the eye”) fabrics to its spring-summer denim jean and accessories collections.
From denim-and-leather patchwork to “leather” lacing, highly distressed and splatter-like print effects, even faux metal rivets, the 100% cotton jean styles come in loose, regular and “super baggy” fits.
Acne said its partner had variously worked with brushing techniques, mineral tints, ink-jet pigments and different coatings to achieve the surface effects.
