Hyosung to lead with ‘sustainable’ creora 3D Max at Kingpins
South Korean fibre producer Hyosung will present “sustainable and functional versions” of its creora 3D Max elastane during two-day denim trade event Kingpins Show in Amsterdam between April 24 and 25.
These include regen bio-based 3D Max elastane, which holds both USDA and SGS certification, plus RCS-approved regen 3D Max elastane, made from 100% recycled industrial waste, as well as its creora Easy 3D Max elastane. Performance and recyclability remain the same as with conventional versions, the developer said.
On fibre content, denim lead Simon Hong commented: “Hyosung is dedicated to developing various version of denim elastane with added bio-functionality in the future.
“This aims to provide consumers with options that prioritise not only eco-friendliness, but also comfort and convenience. By incorporating special features into these products, Hyosung seeks to enhance the overall user experience, while contributing to sustainable practices in the fashion industry.”
The company is also set to sponsor and participate in a denim design panel focused on “what fit might look like in five years’ time” during Kingpins.
Hyosung will likewise be found at Performance Days in Munich (March 20-21) and at Portland’s Functional Fabric Fair (April 17-18), where it will show an expanded range of regen bio-based elastane fibres and 100% post-consumer recycled regen ocean nylons.
Inside Denim co-editor Sophie Bramel will notably moderate a discussion about ocean-bound plastics at the former on March 21, joined by Hyosung nylon and polyester senior marketing manager, David Kwon.
